A £10 fare between Nottingham and London is on offer to mark the reopening of Nottingham station on Monday 26 August 2013.

The £10 single and £20 return fare is from East Midands Trains which says hundreds of thousands of the special-price tickets will be available.

EMT says it is a thank you for passengers’ patience during the multi-million pound re-signalling works.

The tickets can be booked now for travel between Monday 26 August and Sunday 15 December 2013.

If you have a railcard, the prices are even lower.

“It is clear that our years of planning have paid off,” said Neil Micklethwaite of EMT, “and we are getting ready to welcome everybody back into the station.

“We wanted to do something really special for our customers to thank them for their patience during the works and at the same time, have an opportunity for them to experience the improvements made through the re-signalling works.

“This is one of our best ever offers, and with over a quarter of a million tickets available to London from just £20 return, we hope that people will take advantage of the deal and sample Nottingham’s new railway.”

To promote the ticket offer, leaflets were distributed around Nottingham and handed out in Nottingham city centre over the weekend. Tickets must be booked in advance and are subject to availability and terms and conditions.
