Welcome to Yorkshire!
The Yorkshire Branch of Railfuture covers railways in the traditional county of Yorkshire and, where appropriate, over the border into adjacent counties. We liaise closely with our Railfuture colleagues in the neighbouring North East, North West, East Midlands and Lincolnshire branches. We welcome members from all Railfuture branches to attend our in-person or online branch fixtures.The branch seeks to maintain a good working relationship with elected representatives and governing bodies in the region, as well as train operators that serve the area and the wider railway industry.
Branch Meetings
Railfuture Yorkshire Annual General Meeting: Saturday 27th April at 13.00

The Railfuture Yorkshire AGM and Branch Meeting will take place on Saturday 27 April at 1pm at Priestley Hall, Mill Lane Chapel, City Square, Leeds LS1 5EB. The meeting will begin with a topical presentation concerning the railways in the area – please check back later for details of our speaker.
This will be followed by the AGM, and finally our Branch Meeting at which we shall be discussing many key issues facing the railway at the moment and recent developments in the Yorkshire Branch area.
The venue is conveniently situated just five minutes’ walk from Leeds railway station. From the main ticket gates bear left and head past the ticket office, past retail outlets and continue out into City Square. The chapel and hall are over to the right and we are likely to use the entrance to the right of building as last year. Doors open at 12.45 and the meeting closes at 16.00. We do hope to see you in Leeds on 27th April.

Webinar with newly appointed Network Rail North and East Route Director, Jason Hamilton
We are delighted to welcome Jason Hamilton to address the branch on Tuesday 30th April. Jason brings a wealth of experience of major projects to his new role and will be discussing the plans and challenges facing Network Rail in Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and the North East. Following his presentation, Jason will take questions from the Railfuture audience.

Railfuture have launched a Northern Powerhouse campaign for improved services that can be achieved now within current constraints, and that can be achieved in future through a coordinated investment programme, to turn the great Northern cities of Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, Sheffield, Bradford, Leeds and Hull into a single strategic economic entity linked by a fast high capacity rail network to realise the economic potential of the region as a global powerhouse.Yorkshire rail user groups
