Railway photographers throughout Europe are being invited to submit pictures which highlight the environmentally friendly and human aspect of railways.
The 12 best pictures submitted will be used to illustrate the 2016 calendar of the Community of European Railways and each of the 12 winners will receive a prize of £140.
The contest is open to all railway passengers who are resident in the 28 member states of the European Union, as well as people living in Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey. The pictures must be taken in the EU or the countries listed above.
High-resolution photographs, preferably in landscape format, should be submitted before 16 October 2015 to the CER website
