East Anglia Cambridge Railway Station

Cambridge railway station is undergoing a major redevelopment which will double the sizeof the concourse, with extra ticket machines, a 3,000 space cycle park and a new station square as part of a wider redevelopment ofthe area around the station:

The current plans provide unsatisfactory long walking routes into the station forpassengers arriving by bus, or parking at the cycle park. Railfuture EastAnglia is campaigning for direct access from the cycle park to the station footbridge, and for the bus stops to be moved closer to the station entrance as detailed in our briefing document:

In the longer term as passenger numbers continue to increase Railfuture EastAnglia would like to see improved access to the station from the east of the railway line.
